Accra, Aug. 21, GNA – Nestlé Ghana has launched the CERELAC Akyɛdeɛ Pa Promotion, the brand’s first nationwide consumer reward campaign, offering Ghanaian families the opportunity to win cash prizes, educational scholarships and all-expenses-paid trips to Mauritius.
The promotion, dubbed “Akyɛdeɛ Pa” (Good Gift), is aimed at rewarding generations of mothers and caregivers who have trusted CERELAC as part of their children’s feeding journey.
Speaking at the launch in Accra, Mr Mark Okyere Mensah, Category Manager for Culinary at Nestlé Ghana, described the initiative as a demonstration of appreciation to Ghanaian families for their continued loyalty to the brand.
He said the promotion was more than a marketing campaign and represented a national expression of gratitude to consumers who had chosen CERELAC to support their children’s growth and development over the years.
“Every CERELAC pack purchased carries a powerful meaning for us. It represents a parent’s choice to provide quality nutrition during one of the most important stages of a child’s development, the complementary feeding stage,” he said.
Mr Mensah noted that for decades, CERELAC had remained a trusted companion to many Ghanaian families and that the company was using the promotion to turn that trust into meaningful rewards.
He said the campaign had been designed at a time when many households were carefully managing their finances, making it important for brands to deliver value beyond the products they offered.
“With Akyɛdeɛ Pa, we are giving consumers more than nutrition. We are giving them excitement, appreciation and opportunities that can make a real difference in their lives,” he stated.
Under the promotion, consumers who purchase specially marked CERELAC packs and submit three sachets will qualify to participate in the draw.
Mr Mensah said winners would receive a variety of prizes, including instant cash and mobile money rewards credited directly to them.
He said the educational scholarship package formed a key part of the promotion because Nestlé recognised education as one of the most valuable investments parents could make in their children’s future.
“We know education is one of the greatest gifts a parent can give a child. Through these scholarships, families can invest further in their children’s dreams and future aspirations,” he added.
The highlight of the promotion is an all-expenses-paid family holiday to Mauritius for two lucky families.
Mr Mensah said the package would cover travel, accommodation and other memorable experiences on the Indian Ocean island.
“For the winning families, this will be more than a trip. It will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create unforgettable memories together,” he said.
He urged media houses, retailers and distributors to support the promotion by helping to create awareness and ensuring the special promotional packs were available across the country.
Mr Mensah expressed confidence that the campaign would generate compelling stories of families whose lives would be positively impacted by the rewards.
Ms Antoinette Appeakorang, Category Development Manager at Nestlé Ghana, said the launch marked a significant milestone for a brand that had supported Ghanaian families for generations.
She said every purchase of CERELAC reflected a mother’s commitment to providing her child with a strong nutritional foundation and confidence in a brand that had earned consumer trust over many years.
“Through this promotion, we want to say a sincere thank you to our loyal consumers by giving them the opportunity to win exciting and meaningful rewards,” she said.
Ms Appeakorang appealed to media partners to help carry the campaign message across the country and encouraged retailers and distributors to make promotional packs readily available to consumers.
She also urged parents and caregivers to participate in the promotion and take advantage of the opportunity to win prizes that could improve their families’ lives.
The CERELAC Akyɛdeɛ Pa Promotion seeks to combine nutrition, education and family experiences while deepening the brand’s relationship with consumers.
Nestlé Ghana says it expects the campaign to create excitement nationwide and reinforce its commitment to supporting children’s growth and development beyond nutrition.
