Sunyani (Bono), Aug. 09, GNA – Pastor Christopher Agbenyefia, the Regional Coordinator for the Middle-Belt Zone of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM) in Ghana, has urged Christians to be watchful and prepare for the rapture of the saints.
He admonished Christians to remain steadfast in order not to be swayed by the growing trend of staged and lying wonders and miracles, as well as false teachings and prophecies that had presently eaten into Christendom.
The Middle-Belt Zonal Coordinator reminded the congregation and the entire Church of Christ, particularly, of the imminence of the rapture (catching away of the saints to Heaven), urging believers not to be surprised at the trend of false teachings and fake miracles.
Referencing Matthew 24 verse 24, Pastor Agbenyefia emphasised that: “Those lying signs, wonders and miracles and deceptive teachings herald the second advent of Jesus Christ to rapture the saints to himself.”
Pastor Abgenyefia, who oversees the Deeper Life Bible Church’s operations in the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Regions, gave the advice when he delivered a sermon at a special combined service of the Sunyani Division of the church, held at the Ridge Central Church.
“Remember that we are in the age of deception and only firm believers can perceive the errors of the devil being orchestrated through false teachings and lying wonders and flee them,” he stated.
Pastor Agbenyefia reminded Christians that those how would miss or did not partake in the rapture of the saints, would accordingly “suffer from great tribulation in the hands of the anti-Christ and his cohorts.”
“Many who seek miracles more than holiness, prosperity messages more than sanctification, and life success more purity and worldliness over eternal bliss are likely to be deceived,” he warned.
He advised true believers of Jesus Christ to endeavour to break the existing link with those that loved lies and chasing after worldly desires to prevent themselves from falling prey to these lying signs and wonders.
He emphasised that the surest way for unbelievers and backsliders to partake in the rapture of the saints, was for them to repent, retrace their steps, acknowledge their sins and accept Jesus Christ as their ‘personal saviour’ and to be empowered to live righteous, holy and upright lives.
