Kumasi, Aug. 19, GNA – Key actors within the Nasara Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have demonstrated their support for the candidature of Alhaji Saalim Bamba by picking nomination forms on his behalf to contest the National Nasara Organiser position.
The nomination forms were picked at the NPP Headquarters by the Dean of Constituency Nasara Organisers in the Greater Accra Region and Nasara Organiser for THE Adentan Constituency, together with Alhaji Halaru Kumasi, a founding member of the Nasara Wing.
Also involved were Alhaji Tikas, the Director of Operations for the National Zongo Campaign during the 2024 general election, and Hajia Salamatu, Deputy Nasara Organiser for the Amasaman Constituency.
The involvement of the party figures, who have played various roles in the activities of the Nasara Wing and the party’s Zongo campaign, is seen as a show of solidarity for Alhaji Bamba as he seeks to lead the wing at the national level.
The development also highlights growing efforts among key Nasara actors to rally around leadership that they believe can strengthen the structures of the wing and deepen its engagement with communities across the country.
In a statement, the supporters said the action reflected their unity and commitment to the advancement of the Nasara Wing, stressing the need for leadership that would serve the interests of the entire wing.
They said the decision to support Alhaji Bamba was also intended to strengthen collaboration among Nasara leaders and expand the wing’s engagement at the constituency, regional and national levels.
The group expressed confidence that the process marked the beginning of a new phase aimed at building a stronger, more organised and respected Nasara Wing within the NPP.
Alhaji Bamba, the immediate past Ashanti Regional Nasara Organiser of the NPP, has declared his intention to contest the National Nasara Organiser position, with his campaign expected to focus on strengthening the wing’s structures, enhancing grassroots engagement and promoting greater unity among its members.
