Hohoe (V/R), Aug. 4, GNA – A total of 200 residents in the Hohoe Constituency have benefited from eye surgeries initiated by Mr Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpo, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area.
The MP, in partnership with Türkiye Diyanet Vakfı, organised the surgery outreach at the Volta Regional Hospital, Hohoe.
Mr Tsekpo revealed that the initiative aimed at restoring sight and improving the quality of life for people suffering from eye conditions and were unable to afford the cost of surgery.
He said individuals who were unable to undergo the procedure during the first phase of the exercise, would be given another opportunity.
Mr Tsekpo said the intervention further reflected a continued commitment to improving access to quality healthcare for the people of the Constituency.
He expressed his gratitude to Alhaji Sinare, Ghana’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for his efforts towards ensuring the reality of the project.
Beneficiaries and their families expressed gratitude to the MP and partners for the gesture.
