Mepé (V/R), Aug. 30, GNA – The Ewe Loyalty Foundation (ELF), a Non-governmental organisations in the Volta region, has announced the celebration of its 5th anniversary.
The celebration would further feature a three-day programme scheduled for September 25 to 27, at the Masito Royal Hotel in Mepé, in the North Tongu districts of the Volta Region.
Mr Eric Shine Ekow Setor, the General Secretary, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, said that the anniversary would to be celebrated under the theme: “5 Years of Serving Humanity Together: Celebrating Loyalty and Our Next Steps.”
“The theme is carefully selected to bring together members, traditional leaders, invited dignitaries, partner organisations and well-wishers to commemorate five years of the Foundation’s service to humanity and the promotion of loyalty and cultural values,” he said.
He explained that major highlight of the celebration would be the participation of the NDC Women’s Organiser hopeful for Ketu South, Madam Xornam Favour Alayi-Hussey, who was billed to deliver the keynote address at the event.
Mr Setor said other dignitaries expected to grace the occasion would include the Assembly Member for the Kua Electoral Area in Sogakope, South Tongu, Mr Isaac Kuwornu, as well as the NDC Deputy Women’s Organiser for Central Tongu, Madam Yvette Emefa Greve.
“We are also expecting Mr Johnpaul Semavor, the Chief Executive Officer of Volta Peak boutique hotel and the NDC Volta Regional Deputy Secretary Aspirant, as well as Mr Donald Brown Dzameshie, the 2024 Parliamentary Candidate for the Akatsi South Constituency,” he said.
Mr Setor stated that the celebration would further be graced by traditional leaders, including the Acting President of the Mepe Traditional Council, Torgbe Kwasi Maklalo Nego VI, and the Queen of the Mepe Traditional Area, Mamaga Adzo Sreku V.
The three-day event would also feature a wide range of activities, including health screening and education, a pool party and fun games, a float, Borborbor Night, a grand durbar, skills training, and a Wine and Black Awards Night.
Additional activities lined up include cultural and competitive events, a thanksgiving service, football and volleyball matches, and other fun games designed to engage participants throughout the celebration.
The Wine and Black Awards Night would also feature a number of competitions, including pictionary and art, musical chairs, and dancing competitions, which would add an entertainment dimension to the anniversary programme.
The Foundation has invited organisations such as Volta My Pride and My Culture, and My Pride, to participate in the celebration to reflect the commitment to partnership and collaboration with like-minded groups.
All executives of the Ewe Loyalty Foundation, including its Founder, Mr Julius Kukubor, are expected to be present throughout the three-day celebration in Mepé.
The event is expected to provide an opportunity for the Foundation to reflect on its achievements over the past five years, celebrate its members and supporters, strengthen its commitment to community service, and unveil its vision for the next phase of its activities.
