Chief of Staff toasts WIUC-Ghana’s Schools of Nursing and Midwifery for winning best Private Nursing College

Accra, Aug. 07,GNA–Mr Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff, has praised Winconsin International University College (WIUC-Ghana) for its commitment to the nurturing high performaning healthcare professionals.

This came after the School of Nursing and Midwifery of the Wisconsin University College was named Best Private Nursing College at the 5th Ghana Medical Diagnostic Excellence Awards in Accra.

Delivering the keynote address on behalf of Mr. Debrah, Presidential Staffer Nana Yaa Akyenpim Jantuah described healthcare professionals as the nation’s unsung heroes.

She reaffirmed Government’s commitment to invest in healthcare infrastructure, digital health, diagnostics, and medical education.

The award recognizes WIUC-Ghana’s outstanding contribution to nursing and midwifery education, excellence in practical training, and innovation in healthcare education.

Receiving the award, the Dean of the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Professor Angela Kwartemaa Acheampong, said the recognition reflected the University’s commitment to world-class, student-centred education that combined academic excellence with intensive practical training.

The Dean noted that the school continued to invest in modern teaching technologies, simulation-based learning, and industry partnerships to give students real-life clinical experience before graduation.

With campuses in Accra and Kumasi, WIUC-Ghana’s School of Nursing and Midwifery operates ultra-modern Clinical Skills Laboratories with high-fidelity mannequins and advanced medical training equipment.
