Assin Darmang (C/R), Aug 21, GNA – The youth wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Assin South Constituency has interacted with members as part of efforts to strengthen ties with the grassroots.
The engagement brought together youth organisers, branch executives and members to deliberate on party structures, campaign strategies and community development issues affecting the constituency.
According to Mr Isaac Ayipey, the Constituency Youth Organiser, the engagement formed part of the wing’s plan to re-energise the grassroots ahead of major political activities.
In addition, it created a platform for the youth to network, share ideas and contribute to initiatives that would bring positive change to the country.
He urged members to regularly engage with the constituency executives to find amicable solutions, rather than going public with party internal issues.
Mr Ayipey told the gathering to exercise patience as government took giant steps to address their issues.
Mr Thomas Cobbinah, Constituency Chairman, said the youth wing was created to have the party’s vision and policies resonate with the younger generation, encouraging their active participation in the political process and nurturing future leaders within the party.
He reminded the youth of the party of the essence of the December 31 Revolution and cautioned them against losing the history of the revolution which birthed the NDC, a congress of diverse ideas, opinions and a people united with a common purpose.
The constituency chairman commended the youth for their commitment and tasked them to sell the NDC in every corner in Assin South.
