Atebubu, (Bono East) Aug. 14, GNA-Mr Thomas Ayraba Maswud, the Atebubu/Amantin Municipal Chief Executive, has commissioned a renovated public toilet and washroom facilities at the Atebubu Central Market for improved sanitation and hygiene.
He said the Assembly funded the renovation of the facility and urged the traders and market women to keep the facility clean.
Speaking at a ceremony at Atebubu in the Bono East Region, Mr Maswud said he was highly optimistic that the facilities would improve personal hygiene and public health.
He said the municipal assembly remained dedicated to tackling the emerging development needs of the people.
Mr Maswud urged the traders to also pay their taxes and tolls for the assembly to generate the needed revenue required for development.
He cautioned them against littering around and indiscriminate to refuse disposal to keep the market clean.
Madam Hannah Darko, the Women Organiser of the Atebubu Market Association expressed appreciation to the Assembly, describing the facilities as great intervention that would improve sanitation and personal hygiene.
She assured the association’s commitment to keep the facilities in good use.Â
