Adaklu Ablornu (V/R), Aug. 11, GNA – Mr Hayford Amenuvie, Adaklu Constituency Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has declared his intention to contest the Constituency Chairmanship position of the party.
He said his decision to seek the chairmanship role was motivated by his experience as Constituency Secretary and his desire to contribute more effectively to the growth and development of the party in the constituency.
Mr Amenuvie disclosed this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Adaklu Ablornu.
He said his tenure as Constituency Secretary had given him a deeper understanding of the party’s structures, operations, dynamics and challenges.
“This experience has equipped me with valuable leadership and organizational skills, and I believe I am ready to take on broader responsibilities in advancing the party at the Constituency level,” he told the GNA.
Mr Amenuvie stated that his vision was to build a stronger, more organised and effective party from the grassroots level upward.
He said, if elected, he would prioritise the continuous training and development of branch executives to equip them with the knowledge, competence and commitment needed to perform their roles efficiently.
“When our branch’s leadership is strong, well informed and active, the entire party becomes stronger,” the Secretary said.
Mr Amenuvie noted that he would promote competent leadership, active grassroots participation and effective coordination across the constituency to ensure that every branch remained a meaningful pillar of the party.
He called on party members in the constituency to support his ambition and work together towards strengthening the party.
“You have had the opportunity to observe my leadership as Secretary, so I now seek your support and collaboration to build on that experience and take the party to a stronger level,” he stated.
Mr Amenuvie emphasised that building a stronger party was a collective responsibility and urged members to uphold unity, trust, discipline, and commitment.
“With unity, trust, discipline and commitment, we can build a party that is stronger at the grassroots level, better prepared to serve its members and advance its cause,” he added.
According to a timetable released by the NDC, Constituency Executive Elections are scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25, 2026, at designated centres across the constituencies.
