Over 1,400 NPP Delegates to Vote in Wiawso Constituency Election

Sefwi-Wiawso (W/N/R), July 6, GNA – A total of 1,428 delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are expected to vote in the party’s constituency executive election in the Wiawso Constituency of the Western North Region. 

The election is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the John Bitah Club House voting centre at Sefwi-Dwenase. 

Mr Felix Forster Ackah, the Western North Regional Secretary of the NPP and Secretary to the Wiawso Election Committee, said the delegates comprised 1,246 polling station executives, 155 electoral area executives, 17 constituency officers, as well as five patrons and five elders. 

Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Mr Ackah said all the necessary arrangements had been put in place to ensure a free, fair and transparent election. 

He called on aspirants and their supporters to conduct their campaigns peacefully and avoid personal attacks in order to strengthen party unity before and after the election. 

Mr Ackah expressed optimism that the election would be conducted successfully and urged party members to support efforts aimed at promoting cohesion and harmony within the constituency.
