Koforidua, July 15, GNA – Delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in New Juaben South have elected a new constituency executive team, with John Hawkson Arthur, emerging as chairman after a closely contested poll.
Mr Arthur, a former Headmaster of Oti Boateng Senior High School, secured 549 votes to defeat Mr Charles Oseipoku Boakye, who polled 528 votes, and Mr Michael Oteng Adu, who garnered 438 votes.
Ms Gifty Nyamekye Manteaw, New Juaben South Municipal Electoral Officer, announced the results at the Koforidua Secondary Technical School, where the election was held.


The exercise formed part of efforts to reconstitute the party’s constituency leadership ahead of future organisational and electoral activities.
Other executives elected were Mr Eugene Bempong as First Vice Chairman and Mr Bright Adjei Amoama as Second Vice Chairman.
Mr John Adade was elected Constituency Secretary, while Mr Owusu Marfo, won the position of Assistant Secretary.


Mr Boateng Osei-Agyeman was elected Treasurer, Mr Kwame Appiah, voted as the Organiser, and Mr Andy Akuffo, elected Youth Organiser.
Ms Yaa Ansaa Safori was elected Women Organiser, Mr Amidu Mumuni secured the position of Nasara Coordinator, while Mr Peter Kwadwo Asare-Duah was elected Communication Officer.
The election was conducted peacefully, with delegates casting ballots to choose executives to steer the affairs of the party in the constituency.
