Members of GODCCOS commended for its financial growth

Duayaw Nkwanta (Ahafo), July 06, GNA – Nana Effah Juakro Apraku Dankwamoa, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Goaso Diocesan Catholic Cooperative Society Limited (GODCCOS), has commended members for their contributions towards the financial growth of the society.  

Nana Apraku Dankwamoah gave the commendation when GODCCOS held its third Annual General Meeting of shareholders at Duayaw Nkwanta, the Tano North District capital in the Ahafo Region. 

Nana Apraku Dankwamoa, in his report read at the meeting, indicated that members savings increased from GHc4,248,092.29 in 2024, to GHc6,347,229.03 in 2025; while shares rose to GHc130,525 in 2025, as against GHc97,000 in 2024. 

The society disbursed a total amount of GHc1,270,151.39 in 2024, and GHc2,081,312.45 during the year under review; while its total assets went up to GHc7,144,578.30 in the reviewing year, against GHc4,752,715.03 during the previous year. 

The Chairman, who is also the Nkoranza-Asuogyahene, lauded the members of the board, management, staff, shareholders and all stakeholders for helping to improve the growth path of the society. 

He urged members and prospective ones to buy more shares to consolidate the growth and viability of the financial institution. 

Mr. Joseph Yebuah Adumuah, the General Manager of GODCCOS announced the payment of 20 per cent dividends to shareholders for the 2024/2025 financial years. 

Mr Charles Adane, the Accountant of the GODCCOS, assured the public that the institution,  

born out of the Catholic Church was duly recognised by the Bank of Ghana and controlled by the Department of Cooperatives. 

He urged the public to join for a safe and secure banking and business experience.
