Accra, July 30, GNA – Ghanaian delegates who participated in the Creator Content Training at the General Conference headquarters of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA, have safely returned home after successfully completing the global capacity-building program.
Held under the Church’s OneVoice27 communication initiative, the training brought together communication leaders, media professionals, and digital content creators from around the world to strengthen their skills in digital storytelling, media production, content creation and mission-focused communication for evangelism.
A statement issued to the Ghana News Agency said among the Ghanaian representatives was Pastor Dr. Samuel K. Dorgbetor, the Communication Director of the South East Ghana Union Mission (SEGUM), who represented the Union at the international event.
It said throughout the training, participants explored practical strategies, innovative digital tools, and collaborative approaches to advance the Church’s mission through effective communication across multiple media platforms.
It said the Ghanaian delegation expressed profound appreciation to the leadership of the West-Central Africa Division (WAD), particularly the Communication Department and the Division’s executive leadership, for their vision, encouragement and unwavering support in facilitating the participation of delegates from the Division.
“The delegates also conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the General Conference Communication Department and the global headquarters team for organising an outstanding training program, providing a rich learning experience, and extending warm Christian hospitality to participants from across the world,” the statement added.
The statement observed that by empowering content creators with innovative communication skills, the Church continued to expand its global mission of proclaiming the everlasting gospel and sharing the hope of Jesus Christ through digital media.
The Church commended the collaborative efforts of the General Conference, the West-Central Africa Division, and all participating unions and fields in advancing digital evangelism.
Special recognition was given to the three countries represented from the WAD territory: Ghana, Nigeria and Liberia for their commitment to strengthening mission through media and communication.
The Creator Content Training reaffirmed the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s commitment to equipping communicators as effective digital missionaries through the OneVoice27 initiative.
The statement said as the delegates returned home, they were expected to implement the knowledge and skills acquired during the training to support evangelism, strengthen digital engagement, and contribute to the global OneVoice27 movement as the Church prepared for the culmination of this worldwide evangelistic initiative in September 2027.
