Kintampo, (Bono East), July 7, GNA – Mr Kojo Buari, the Election 2024 Independent Parliamentary Candidate in the Kintampo North Constituency of the Bono East Region has called for the rehabilitation of the Kintampo market to boost economic activities.
He bemoaned the present deplorable condition of the market, saying that the market served as a trade hub which contributed significantly to revenue generation.
Interacting with some youth at a meeting at Kintampo, Mr Buari called for urgent rehabilitation of the market, worrying that the facility remained inaccessible during the rainy seasons.
According to him, the traders and market women associations in the area had persistently appealed to the Kintampo North Municipal Assembly for the facility to be rehabilitated but nothing had been done.
Mr Buari said face-lifting the facility remained paramount to boost economic activities and to enhance the livelihoods of the traders.
He suggested private-public partnership transforming the Kintampo market into a modern trading facility that would improve the conditions of the traders and increase the revenue generation of the Municipal Assembly too.
