Techiman (Bono East) July 16, GNA-Chief Superintendent (C/S) Albert Fii Ochill, the Techiman Divisional Police Commander in the Bono East Region has appealed for public support for the completion of a reception project being put up by the command.

He explained that the Division was putting up the 30-seater reception for public use, and called for support from philanthropists, corporate and religious bodies as well as wealthy people to complete the project.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Techiman, C/S Ochill said the project would also facelift the command in serving the interest of the public.

“The Division is dedicated to building a friendly reception to the members of the public who come here to seek our services,” he stated.

He said the police were ever ready to maintain law and order, saying that the poor condition of the reception remained unfriendly to the public.

“We are also building the reception for everyone to access the services of the police because police are a friend and not an enemy,” C/S Ochill stated.

He explained that the reception project contained a barbering shop that would provide services to suspects, police personnel, and members of the public.

C/S Ochill emphasised that modern policing remained a collective responsibility and urged the public to support the project as the division strengthened cordial public-police relationship.
