By Albert Allotey, GNA

Accra, July 31, GNA – Bishop Dr Albert Ken Dapatem, the Senior Pastor of the Life Vision Church International, has urged churches to assist couples in effective counselling to reduce increase rate of divorce.

He called on marriage couples to cultivate the habit of forgiving one another and admitting their wrongs, which had been one of the root causes of divorce.

He said marriage was a serious business and sacred before God and should be treated with utmost respect.

Bishop Dr Dapatem gave the advice during the10th marriage anniversary celebration and renewal of vows between the wife of Rev. Jeffery Ekow Baah-Quainoo, the General Overseer of His Presence Devotional Ministries and Mrs Josephine Enyinam Baah-Quainoo, at La Wireless in Accra.

He said, “Today, we gather in the presence of Almighty God with hearts filled with thanksgiving, joy, and gratitude to celebrate a significant milestone – the 10th Marriage Anniversary and Renewal of Marriage Vows of Rev. Jeffrey Ekow Baah – Quainoo and Mrs Josephine Enyinam Baah – Quainoo.

“This sacred gathering is first and foremost an act of thanksgiving to God, who has been the foundation, sustainer, and keeper of their marriage throughout the past ten years. Through seasons of joy and challenges, victories and trials, His unfailing love, grace, and faithfulness have preserved their covenant and strengthened their union.”

Senior Bishop Peter Ebo Koomson, Director of Programmes at the Dominion College of Bishops, who officiated the event, called on marriage couples to be always mindful of the vows they made before God and all and fulfil them in the course and journey of marriage.
