Takoradi, July 2, GNA – The ‘British and Dutch’ communities within the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis will be in a fierce football contest come July 4, to open the MTN’s Twin -city Fest gala.
In all, 16 communities would be taking part in the annual event geared at promoting community talents, nurturing stars and fostering stronger sportsmanship among Ghanaians.
Nana Egya Kwamina XI, the Chief of Apremdo at the official opening ceremony commended MTN for the bold step to build and discover more talents.
He alluded that Sekondi-Takoradi used to be the hub of football talents, “a glory that must be restored”.
Nana Egya Kwamina XI thus, called on the participating teams to be disciplined and stay humble to climb higher on that level of play.
Mr. Prince Owusu Nyarko, the Senior Manager for MTN’s Southwest Business District said MTN believed in shared vision, growth and prosperity hence, the various community initiatives to invest in the human capital development of the country.
He acknowledged how festivals and other forms of social inclusion activities-built bridges and forged development and noted how proud the company was to be associated with such initiative.
Mr. Wilson Arthur, the CEO of Skyy Media Group, and lead for the sporting event praised MTN for making the event a yearly success.
