Kiev, July 8 (dpa/GNA) – Russian drone attacks killed at least three people and injured 10 others in Kiev on Wednesday, according to the mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitali Klitschko.
Klitschko said strikes hit a high-rise building on the city’s eastern bank, as well as near a gas distribution station.
Russia had already attacked the city of 3 million with ballistic missiles during the night. On Wednesday, air raid sirens sounded for more than six hours, partly due to constant incursions by Russian drones.
The attacks came as Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, met US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of a NATO summit in the Turkish capital, Ankara.
Ukraine has been defending against a full-scale Russian invasion for more than four years.
