Wenchi-Buasu (Bono), July 29, GNA – Mr Francis Dongzie, Assembly Member for the Buasu/Kwame Pinsang Electoral Area in the Wenchi Municipality, has commended Wenchi MP Alhaji Seidu Haruna and Municipal Chief Executive Madam Gloria Opoku Gyamfi for the ongoing road reshaping project in the area.
He said Alhaji Seidu Haruna, the MP for Wenchi Constituency, and Madam Gloria Opoku Gyamfi, the Wenchi Municipal Chief Executive, deserved commendation for facilitating the project.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Wenchi-Buasu, Mr Dongzie said the poor condition of the road had remained the major challenge confronting residents.
He noted that most people in the electoral area were farmers, adding that completion of the project would facilitate the movement of people and farm produce while boosting economic activities.
Mr Dongzie said residents were excited about the progress of work on the road, adding that commercial drivers who used the route had also expressed satisfaction.
He said the reshaping of the road would improve transportation, open the area, and stimulate socio-economic development.
