Nkwanta (O/R), June 25, GNA – Thirty-four persons have picked nomination forms to contest for the various executive positions within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Nkwanta South Constituency.
Mr Felix Owusu-Gyimah, the Constituency Secretary of NPP in Nkwanta South, confirmed the development, stating that the nomination exercise, which opened on Monday, June 22 and closed on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, recorded a significant level of interest among Party members.
According to him, the 34 aspirants will compete for various constituency executive positions ahead of the party’s internal elections after successful vetting.
Mr Owusu-Gyimah, breaking down the figures, said four persons picked nomination forms for the constituency chairman position, whilst three aspirants each filed to contest for the first vice chair position and second vice chairman positions.
He further disclosed that five individuals picked forms for the secretary position, while two aspirants are seeking the deputy secretary position.
Two people also picked nomination forms for the treasurer position.
For the organiser position, three aspirants picked forms, while another three are contesting for the youth organizer position.
Four individuals picked forms for the women’s organiser position, while three aspirants each picked forms to contest for the communication officer and Nasara coordinator positions.
Mr Owusu-Gyimah expressed satisfaction with the level of participation and encouraged all aspirants to conduct their campaigns peacefully and in accordance with the party’s rules and regulations after today’s verting.
