Adutor (V/R), June 26, GNA – Apostle Edward Brains Agidi-Quarshie, the Sogakope Area Head of the The Church of Pentecost, has visited victims of recent floods in the Adutor community in the Volta Region.
The floods, caused by days of heavy rainfall, destroyed vast farmlands and properties worth millions of cedis, affecting about 350 farmers and displacing several families whose homes were submerged.
Apostle Agidi-Quarshie, during the pastoral visit, interacted with affected residents and church members and assessed the extent of damage caused by the disaster.
He expressed sympathy to the victims and encouraged them not to lose hope, assuring them that God remained with them in their difficult circumstances and would provide relief in due time.
Apostle Agidi-Quarshie further urged the affected victims to remain hopeful and steadfast in their faith despite the devastation.
The COP leader was accompanied by Pastor Samuel Quartey Huago, Area Secretary, Elder Daniel Kwasi Gameli Avugla, Area Deacon, Pastor Prosper Kpeli, Area Pentecost Men’s Ministry (PEMEM) Leader, and Pastor John Abel Amenyowu, the resident pastor.

The delegation visited some of the worst-hit communities, including Bleamezado, Dorsukope, Tsawoeme, Trekume, Bekpo and Agordome, where they met residents and witnessed the impact of the floods.
Some of the affected residents expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as timely and encouraging.
They said the presence of the church leadership had renewed their hope and strengthened their resolve to rebuild their lives and livelihoods after the disaster.
