Assin Ningo gets six-unit classroom block

Assin Ningo (C/R), June 24, GNA- Mr Jonathan Birikorang, the Assin South District Chief Executive (DCE), has commissioned a six-unit classroom block at Assin Ningo in the Assin South District of the Central Region. 

The commissioning marked a major milestone in efforts to improve educational infrastructure in the community. 

 Mr Birikorang stated during the event that the project formed part of the Assembly’s ongoing commitment to expanding educational infrastructure and improving learning conditions in rural and peri-urban communities. 

He stated that overcrowding in classrooms continued to affect teaching and learning outcomes, hence the need for further investments in educational facilities. 

Mr Isaac Inkoom, the District Director of Education, commended the Assembly for the intervention, saying it marked the end of years of learning under difficult conditions, and the beginning of a dignified and conducive learning environment. 

Nana Adjei III, the Odikro (Chief) of the town, expressed appreciation to the District Assembly and stakeholders for their collective efforts in providing the block, and urged the school authorities to handle the property with care. 

He told pupils to also play their part by studying hard, as the provision of quantity infrastructure must translate into improved academic performance and the churning of notable professionals from the area. 

In a related development, the DCE also commissioned a Community Based Health Planning and Services Compound in the community to promote better healthcare delivery in the area.
