Telecom expert enstooled as Chief of Anfoega Tokorme

Anfoega (V/R), May 27, GNA – The Kangba Mawu Royal Family of Anfoega-Bume-Tokorme in the North Dayi District has officially outdoored Togbe Kangba Dzobo III as the new Divisional Chief of the area, 

The installation followed the successful completion of all customary rites and traditional requirements. 

Known in private life as Mr Sefadzi Kwadzo Dzobo, Togbe Kangba Dzobo, 54, is a direct descendant of the revered Kangba Mawu royal lineage of Anfoega Tokorme. 

He received his secondary education at Kpando Secondary School before pursuing a Higher National Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Ho Technical University.  

He later obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and undertook further technical training in Europe and China. 

A certified Cisco professional, Togbe Kangba Dzobo has more than 25 years of experience in Ghana’s telecommunications industry and has served in various senior positions at Telecel Ghana, formerly Vodafone Ghana, Tigo Ghana and Ghana Telecom. 

He currently serves as Operations Manager of ABSG Company Limited, a wholly Ghanaian-owned telecommunications company. 

Over the years, he has led several telecommunications infrastructure and fibre optic projects across the Greater Accra, Eastern, Volta and Savannah regions. 

Togbe Kangba Dzobo has also distinguished himself in community leadership and service by chairing several committees within Tokorme and beyond.  

Before his enstoolment, he served as head of the Dzobotor and Dzobonor descendants, where he provided guidance and leadership to the family. 

A devoted Christian and active member of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana, he has contributed significantly to church activities, including serving as Chairman of the planning committee of the 125th Anniversary celebration of EPC, Ankutse Memorial Congregation, Anfoega Bume Kpodzi. 

Fluent in Ewe, English and Twi, Togbe Kangba Dzobo is expected to combine professional expertise with traditional leadership in promoting peacebuilding, youth empowerment, education and the preservation of the cultural heritage of Anfoega Tokorme. 

Addressing the gathering at his enstoolment, Togbe Kangba Dzobo described the occasion as a profound moment in his life and in the history of the community. 

“I stand before you not just as an individual, but as a servant of this land, a custodian of its traditions, and a voice for both present and future generations,” he said. 

He expressed gratitude to God, the ancestors, the kingmakers and the traditional council for the confidence reposed in him. 

Togbe Kangba Dzobo, also paid glowing tribute to the Queenmother, Mama Nyuiewaa I, for her dedication and determination towards the successful installation process. 

He thanked his family, friends and members of the community for their support and pledged to lead with humility, fairness and integrity. 

“As your chief, I come not to rule over you, but to serve you. I will listen to your voices, respect your views and work tirelessly to promote peace, unity and development,” he said. 

Togbe Kangba Dzobo called for unity, hard work and prosperity of the community pledging a leadership focused on youth and women empowerment, education, protection of cultural values and community development. 

“To the elders, I seek your counsel. To the youth, I embrace your energy and ideas. To the women, I acknowledge your strength and indispensable role in our community,” he added. 

He expressed the hope that the new chapter of leadership would bring peace, dignity and development to Anfoega Tokorme and the wider Dzadikuma community. 

He is married to Mrs Blavatsky Aku Mawunya Dzobo.  

They have two children.
