Ho, May 21, GNA – The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has announced a planned interruption in power supply in parts of the Volta and Oti Regions today, Thursday, May 21, from 0900 hours to 1200 hours, to allow for maintenance works on a transmission line.
A statement issued by the Corporate Communications Section of GRIDCo said the outage was necessary to enable engineers to carry out maintenance work on one of the power transmission lines from Akosombo to Asiekpe.
According to the statement, customers supplied from the affected transmission line would experience temporary power interruptions during the maintenance period.
The GRIDCo said measures had been put in place to ensure the work was completed within the scheduled timeframe to enable power supply to be restored promptly.
The company apologised to customers and residents who would be affected by the planned outage and appealed for patience and cooperation during the exercise.
