Kadjebi BECE candidates optimistic of good grades after first paper

Kadjebi (O/R), May 4, GNA — Some Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in the Kadjebi District have expressed optimism about obtaining good grades after writing the English Language paper, the first paper of the examination, on Monday, May 4 at 1100 hours. 

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) after the paper at the KASEC Examination Centre “A,” Miss Godslove Affram, a candidate from KASEC Model Basic School, said the paper was fair and expressed confidence in obtaining Grade 1. 

Master Sampson Martey, a candidate from Maranatha Preparatory School, also told the GNA that the paper was manageable and said he hopes to achieve an aggregate score of 3. 

Similarly, Master Obour Ernest, a candidate from Asato R/C JHS, described the paper as good and expressed hope of scoring Grade 3. 

At KASEC Examination Centre “A,” out of 358 registered candidates, 254 were present while four were absent. At KASEC Examination Centre “B,” out of 262 candidates, 261 were present with one absentee. 

The candidates are expected to write Religious and Moral Education (RME) from 1300 hours to 1445 hours. 

In total, the Kadjebi District registered 1,440 candidates for the examination across six examination centres.
