Hohoe (V/R), May 27, GNA – The Hohoe Municipal Assembly has engaged key stakeholders to discuss implementation details for the Municipality’s 24-Hour Economy Market, which is set to commence soon.

The project, being undertaken nationwide as part of President John Dramani Mahama’s “Resetting Agenda,” is expected to be completed within 30 months at an estimated cost of GHS31.5 million.

Upon completion, the facility will include a pharmacy, gym, technology hubs, storage rooms, police station, fire post, clinic, crèche, restaurant, supermarket, shops, meat market, women’s bank, warehouse, and other essential amenities to support round-the-clock commercial activities.

Mr Prosper Kumi, the Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), stated that the Municipality is well-positioned to benefit from the project, noting that its completion would significantly improve livelihoods and stimulate economic growth.

He explained that the initiative would enhance overall business development in the Municipality and complement existing projects by supporting their operational needs.

Mr Kumi acknowledged that some inconveniences may arise during the construction phase, including the introduction of a one-way traffic system and the temporary relocation of affected market women.

He urged residents to cooperate with the Assembly, assuring them that adequate measures would be implemented to address any challenges.

He expressed gratitude to the President for the initiative, as well as to stakeholders—including the leadership of the Gbi Traditional Area, landowners, and market women—for their support toward the project’s success.

Mr Kumi also encouraged stakeholders to seek clarification on issues relating to the project and actively participate in site meetings.

Mr Love Nyanyui, an engineer with PPMC International Limited, assured stakeholders that local labour would be prioritised during the project’s implementation.

He urged prospective workers to demonstrate diligence and professionalism.

He further indicated that the project would be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
