Tehran, May 4, (dpa/GNA) – Five more people have been executed in Iran in quick succession, the Miznan news agency reported on Monday.
Three men were executed early on Monday, in connection with the mass protests in January, the agency, which is linked to the Iranian judiciary, reported.
The men are accused of taking part in protests in the north-eastern city of Mashhad, and of being involved in a conspiracy with links to Israel.
Iran executed another two men on Saturday. The Supreme Court upheld their death sentences for spying for Israel, and cooperating with the Israeli secret service, Mizan reported. The men were said to have passed on confidential information.
