Adabokrom (WN/R), May 15, GNA – Mr Richard Acheampong, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bia East Constituency in the Western North Region, has cut the sod for work to begin on the construction of four major educational infrastructure projects within the constituency.
The projects included a six-unit classroom block with borehole and toilet facility at Suma Nyamebekyere, six-unit classroom block with ancillary facility for Camp 15 Junction Primary School, six-unit classroom block at Baamoa, and six-unit classroom block with borehole and toilet facility at Akwabeng.


Speaking to the media after the sod cutting, Mr Acheampong emphasised that the projects when completed would help improve upon education in the beneficiary communities.
He promised to lobby for more projects, and other social intervention programmes aimed at equipping the youth to get jobs.
He was hopeful that the projects would be completed within the expected timelines.


Mr Acheampong also announced that approval had been given to extend electricity to 26 communities in the district.
Nana Agyemang Mintah, Chief of Suma Nyamebekyere, commended the government and the MP for the projects, and appealed for improved mobile network in the area to enhance connectivity.
