Winneba, May 2, GNA – The Chiefs and people of Effutu Traditional Area are holding a grand durbar to mark the highpoint of the annual Aboakyir Festival today at the Zion Park in Winneba in the Effutu Municipality of Central Region.
The Omanhene of Effutu Traditional Area, Neenyi Ghartey VII, arrived in majestic splendour at the grand durbar grounds, preceded by a vibrant procession of guards and attendants under a towering ceremonial umbrella.
As he took his central position, a massive drum display erupted with thunderous fontomfrom and atumpan rhythms, accompanied by a massive crowd at the park to partake in the festival.
