Mr Kwabena Peprah, Team Lead of Wanderlust Ghana, disclosed that the expedition would see the team travel by road from Ghana through parts of Europe to the United Kingdom, where their vehicles would be shipped across the Atlantic to New York before continuing the journey by road to Toronto.

He explained that the initiative was aimed at rallying support for Ghana’s national team, while showcasing the resilience, determination, and adventurous spirit of young Ghanaians on a global stage.

Mr Peprah noted that the expedition would test both the endurance of the team and the performance of the vehicles, as they traverse diverse terrains and weather conditions across multiple continents.

He announced that Star Oil Company Limited had partnered with the team as the official fuel sponsor, providing all fuel requirements for the journey.

According to him, the partnership would also serve as an opportunity to demonstrate the quality and reliability of fuel products supplied by the Company.

“We are confident that the support from Star Oil will ensure a smooth journey, while also showcasing the strength of Ghanaian brands on the international stage,” he stated.

In addition, SIC Insurance Company Limited has been secured as the official insurance partner for the expedition, providing comprehensive insurance coverage for the team and vehicles throughout the trip.

The Managing Director of the Company, Mr James Agyenin-Boateng, in a statement, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, describing the initiative as bold and inspiring.

“We are proud to support this adventurous expedition. SIC is committed to providing the team with the necessary insurance cover to ensure their safety and security throughout the journey,” the statement said.

The Company noted that the partnership reflected its commitment to supporting innovative and impactful initiatives led by Ghanaians.

“These are Ghanaian companies investing in a Ghanaian dream and supporting our national team. We urge the public to support them as they support us,” he added.

The Wanderlust Ghana expedition is expected to attract significant attention both locally and internationally as the team prepares to set off on the long-distance journey in the coming weeks.
