Hohoe (V/R), April 07, GNA – An Easter Street Carnival dubbed “Hohoe Next Level,”organised by Mr Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpo, the Hohoe Constituency Member of Parliament (MP), has brought together thousands of old and young people, to climax the 2026 Easter activities.
The Carnival featured the energetic Ayigbe Edem and Enam, the ‘music paramount Queen of the Volta Region’ as well as other young and upcoming artistes in the Volta and Oti regions.
Mr Tsekpo said the Carnival was to test the pulse of the entertainment industry in Hohoe and noted that with the turnout, there was more to be expected regarding the entertainment sector in the area.
He explained that his plan for the entertainment industry in the Constituency was because that aspect felt dead and needed to be transformed to build talents.
Mr Tsekpo called for support in his developmental agenda through expanded programmes because “Hohoe is a city that never sleeps.”
“Enam, a Ghanaian “Afro-Spiritualist,” expressed joy with the reception and used the opportunity to admonish the youth to be self-disciplined.
She expressed worry about comments regarding her gestures in her music, urging that her choice of art should not be “demonised.”
Ayigbe Edem, a recording artist and rapper, re-emphasised the importance of abstinence and use of condom for protection against Sexually Transmitted Infections and unwanted pregnancies.
He commended Mr Tsekpo for the development projects in the constituency and called for prayers and support for the MP.
The carnival on the theme: “Celebrating Youth Culture, Creativity and Unity,” was attended by Mr Fred K. Agbenyo, the Guan Constituency MP and Madam Jean-Marie Formadi, the MP for Biakoye.
