Kadjebi elects, swears-in new CLOGSAG Executives

Kadjebi (O/R), April 15, GNA – The Kadjebi District branch of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG) in the Oti Region has successfully elected and sworn into office new executives to lead the Association’s affairs for the next four years. 

Mr Gideon Klu was elected Chairman, while Mr Emmanuel Doe assumed the position of Organiser.  

The two were sworn into office by Mr Innocent Komla Gavua, the Kadjebi District Coordinating Director (DCD), at a ceremony held in Kadjebi. 

Administering the oath, Mr Gavua charged the newly elected executives to prioritise the welfare of members and uphold the principles of unity, transparency, and accountability in their administration. 

 He emphasised the critical role CLOGSAG plays in advocating for improved working conditions and encouraged the leadership to be proactive in addressing members’ concerns. 

Mr Joseph Atango, the Oti Regional Secretary of CLOGSAG, commended members of the Kadjebi branch for conducting a peaceful election and endorsing the executives unopposed, describing the process as a demonstration of trust and confidence in the leadership. 

He urged the executives to adopt an open-door policy, promote effective communication, and ensure the free flow of information among members. 

 Mr Atango further advised them to remain committed to advancing the welfare and professional interests of the Association’s membership. 

In his acceptance speech, Mr Gideon Klu expressed gratitude to members for the confidence reposed in him and his colleague.  

He pledged to lead with integrity, inclusiveness, and dedication, noting that their administration would focus on strengthening unity and addressing the needs of members. 

“We are grateful for the overwhelming support and assurance given to us through this unopposed election. We assure members that their welfare will remain our top priority, and we will work tirelessly to justify the trust placed in us,” he said. 

Mr Klu also called for the cooperation and active participation of all members to ensure the success of the new administration. 

The ceremony was attended by members of the Association, district officials, and other stakeholders, marking a renewed commitment to effective leadership and service within the Kadjebi branch of the CLOGSAG.
