East Legon, (G/A), April 22, GNA – A cross-section of the Ga-Dangme queen mothers Association representing about 500 members of the association have paid tribute to Dr Daniel McKorley, Executive Chairman for McDan Group at a ceremony held at McDan Group’s office at Okponglo in Accra.
The Queen mothers who were drawn from various traditional families paid the visit to pay homage to Dr. Daniel McKorley, a son of the soil of Ga Dangme land for his remarkable impact to the developmental fortunes of Ga Dangme land over the years.
The group affirmed their unwavering support for his vision and leadership foresight across various humanitarian projects and social interventions in the land and beyond.
As part of the visit, the group presented a citation and a pull-up banner with the inscription “Proud Ga Dangme”- “you are our own! You are our sweet salt,” in honor of Dr McKorley.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Naa Ardua Okropong I, Korley Gonno Manye said the Ga Dangme community recognised the enduring contributions and remarkable impact of Dr Daniel McKorley and McDan Group to the socio- economic advancement of Ga Dangme communities.
She emphasised on their unflinching support to his vision and noble causes, adding that they would continue to bear him up in their prayers.
Responding to their goodwill message, Dr McKorley promised to champion their cause particularly in advancing opportunities for women across the region.
Appreciating the invaluable role women continue to play in the advancement of society, he said given the needed moral and material support, women would continue to stand in the gap of families to a greater extent.
Dr. Daniel McKorley, widely known as McDan, is one of Ghana’s foremost entrepreneurs and a beacon of indigenous business excellence. As the Executive Chairman of McDan Group, a conglomerate with interests in logistics, aviation, shipping, construction, and agribusiness, he has consistently demonstrated that Ghanaian enterprise can compete globally.
Through the McDan Foundation, he has spearheaded transformative philanthropic initiatives, including scholarships for underprivileged youth, infrastructure support for schools, health outreach programs, and strategic investments in women and youth empowerment.
