Effia (W/R), April 16, GNA – Mr Musah Adamu, the Assembly Member for Sofon Zongo Electoral Area, has been elected as the Presiding Member (PM) for the Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly (EKMA) in a unanimous decision.
He contested unopposed and polled 23 votes from all the members of the Assembly.
He expressed appreciation to the assembly members for the confidence reposed in him, and called for effective collaboration among them to bring the desired development to their communities.
Mr Adamu gave the assurance that he would work diligently to ensure the Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal area became a hub for growth and development.
Mr Philip Evans Nyarko, the outgone PM, expressed gratitude to the assembly members for their cooperation and support during his time in office and called for same for his successor.
He encouraged the members to continue to unite and collaborate to sustain the Assembly’s efforts in bringing progress to the people.
