Adaklu Waya (V/R), March 22, GNA – Mr Jerry Ameko, the Adaklu District Chief Executive (DCE), has called on Muslims to use the Eid-Ud-Fitr to promote national unity and development.

He said “Whilst you celebrate the end of the month-long Holy Ramadan event, I urge you to use the season to advance national unity and development.”

Mr Ameko made the call through the Ghana News Agency in an interview at Adaklu Waya.

He stated that they should be spiritually focused and shy away from anti-social vices that would retard the progress and development of the country.

The DCE asked them to be loving, compassionate and generous adding “always extend loving and compassionate hands to the needy and vulnerable in society.”

He reminded them to always remember the nation and her leaders in their prayers.

Mr Ameko entreated them to live in peace and harmony with other religious sects in the country.

“I want to use the opportunity to wish my Muslim brothers and sisters a joyous Eid filled with peace, love and happiness.

“May Allah’s blessings be upon you now and always as you celebrate this Holy occasion with family and friends,” he stated.
