Accra, March 18, GNA – The Management of AMG Global Travel has categorically stated that there was no armed attack at the Kaaba, in Mecca as is being widely circulated on the social media.
“We wish to categorically state that the claim is false and misleading. The posts circulating online are AI-generated and do not reflect any real events that occurred at the Holy Mosque.
“There has been no attack at the Masjid al-Haram, and worshippers continue to perform their prayers peacefully and safely,” a statement signed by Hajj Abdel-Manan Abdel-Rahman, CEO, AMG Global Travel has said.
The Management of AMG Global Travel reassured the public that all Ghanaian pilgrims currently in Mecca for the last 10 days of Ramadan are safe and continuing their acts of worship without any incident.
“We therefore urge the public to disregard the misleading information circulating on social media and to rely only on verified, credible sources for updates on pilgrims and activities in the Holy Cities,” the statement said
It said AMG Global Travel remained committed to the welfare, safety, and proper coordination of all pilgrims.
“May Allah accept the prayers and supplications of all worshippers during these blessed nights.”
