Atebubu (Bono East), March 12, GNA – The Sector Four Women’s Fellowship of the Midwest Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA) has donated toiletries to Kwame-Danso Senior High and Technical School in the Bono East Region.

The items, worth GHC14,158.00, include 110 packs of toilet rolls, 22 boxes of soap, and 49 packs of sanitary pads.

At a short ceremony at the school, Grace Owusu, Vice President of the fellowship, said the gesture forms part of the sector’s social responsibility programme to support vulnerable students, particularly girls, and encourage them to focus on their studies. She explained the items were procured through individual contributions from fellowship members.

“Girl-child education is essential for building a better life. Providing basic necessities such as sanitary pads helps support their academic journey,” she said, urging students to remain studious.

Osman Murtala, Assistant Headmaster in charge of administration, thanked the fellowship for the timely donation but highlighted the school’s acute water shortage and incomplete dining and assembly hall projects, appealing to the government for support to address these challenges.

Nagara Fynn, the boys’ prefect, expressed gratitude to the fellowship and called for further assistance to create a more conducive environment for teaching and learning.
