Tehran, March 5, (dpa/GNA) – More than 4,000 civilian buildings have been destroyed in US and Israeli bombings in Iran, the Red Crescent reported on Thursday.
The Iranian Red Crescent Society posted on Telegram, that 3,646 residential buildings and 528 business units were affected.
The humanitarian organization stated that 14 health care facilities were also affected, including hospitals and rehabilitation centres. Three hospitals had to cease operations as a result of the attacks, it said.
On the sixth day of the war, eyewitnesses in the capital Tehran initially reported fewer rocket attacks than earlier in the week. Videos on social media showed damage to buildings in residential areas of the metropolis, home to some 15 million people.
Sports facilities in Tehran were also targeted by the US-Israeli rocket attacks. Among other things, a small stadium in the city centre was destroyed.
