Fetteh Kakraba (C/R), March 29, GNA – The Alumni in partnership with the Students Representative Council of KAAF, has held its maiden homecoming at the university premises at Gomoa Fetteh Kakraba in Central Region.
The event, under the auspices of the Registrar, brought old students together, elected new executives, unveiled the association, and reconnected to support the management at making the university strong and more impactful.
It was attended by a number of old students from across the country, Management, executives of the Students Representative Council (SRC) and students.
Dr Francis Acheampong, Vice-Chancellor of the university, addressed the gathering.
Participants networked, had high-level discussions, explored innovative pathways towards its progress, shared their experiences in life after graduation, socialised, exchanged contacts and also engaged the students on the need to concentrate on their education to justify the huge investment in them.
Mrs Ekua Emoada, Maintenance Engineer at the Ghana Highway Authority, who was the guest speaker in her address, commended the organisers for working tirelessly to bring them back to campus.
“The homecoming must inspire all of us to support the management to make the school one of the best tertiary institutions in Ghana.
‘It is the school that has made us what we are, and we have seen a lot of developments coming back here, and it is about time for us to combine our resources at creating conducive environment for teaching and learning.”
She urged the students to concentrate on their books and take up courses in Mathematics, Science, Physics and Chemistry to become engineers and other prominent professionals to help the country’s growth.

Mrs Emoada appealed to all old students of KAAF to be worthy ambassadors and raise the flag of the school higher to attract more people to get enrolled.
“We must be committed and selfless in all our endeavours to let others know that we are products of KAAF University and encourage others to join.”
Dr Linda Anane Donkor, Registrar of the University, in an interview with the media stated there had been significant changes in the last few years in the school.
She said the Alumni should continue to brand KAAF, adding, “As KAAF, our background is entrepreneurial development, but we have worked to become the first private university to go into engineering programme regardless of the programme or the course the person offered.”
“We are also much concern on how the student communicate, how to carry oneself as an individual, how to dress, how to appear in public are among things which are part of curriculum,” she stated and urged all students to commit to their studies and make excellence their hallmark.
