Iranian attacks on Gulf states continue

Cairo, March 26, (dpa/GNA) – Two ports in Kuwait have been damaged in suspected Iranian attacks, according to official reports.

The Kuwaiti Armed Forces posted on X on Friday that the ports of Mubarak al-Kabir and Shuwaikh, had been struck by a cruise missile and four drones earlier that morning. There were no reports of injuries.

Four “enemy” cruise missiles and three drones were intercepted, the statement added. It was not clear whether the ports were damaged by direct hits or during defensive measures.

Saudi Arabia also reported attacks, including on the capital Riyadh, which were all repelled. A total of 16 drones and two missiles were intercepted. The country’s armed forces said that four additional missiles landed in the sea and in uninhabited areas.

The United Arab Emirates and Bahrain also reported attacks in which drones and missiles had been shot down, according to separate statements.
