Accra, March 19, GNA – The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has introduced an online learning and examination platform to enhance coach education delivery in the country.
The new system, known as the GFA Learning Portal, was launched during the second batch of the Confederation of African Football License B Coaching Course at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
The initiative forms part of efforts by the GFA Technical Department to modernise coaching education and improve access to learning materials and examinations for
coaches nationwide.
Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah, Technical Director of the GFA, said the introduction of digital learning tools reflected the Association’s commitment to developing technically competent coaches to improve football standards in Ghana.
He said structured and quality education remained central to football development, adding that technology would help make coaching courses more efficient and accessible.
The portal was implemented under the supervision of Edward Gyamfi-Acheampong, Head of Performance Analysis, who oversaw the technical deployment for the ongoing course.
Developed by Cyclux Consult, the platform enables coaches to access course materials online, engage in structured learning and complete examinations digitally.
The system is expected to reduce dependence on paper-based assessments while improving standardization in coach education.
Participants in the ongoing License B course are the first group of coaches to use the portal, with the association expected to extend the system to future licensing programmes.
The GFA said the move formed part of broader efforts to strengthen technical capacity and improve football development from the grassroots level.
