Kumasi, March 25, GNA – Madam Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, the Deputy Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, has inspected ongoing construction works on a paediatric centre at the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Clinic.
The Deputy Minister, who was in Kumasi for official engagements, took time to visit the project site during a courtesy call on Mr Richard Ofori-Agyeman Boadi, the Mayor of Kumasi.
Madam Sowah expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of work and encouraged the Assembly to sustain the momentum to ensure its timely completion.
The project, being funded by the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF), comprises a modern paediatric facility, staff bungalows and other auxiliary structures aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery within the metropolis.
She underscored the importance of teamwork in achieving institutional goals and urged management and staff of the Assembly to support the Mayor to succeed in his mandate.
She also advised the Mayor to maintain a strong and cordial working relationship with staff and Assembly Members, stressing that their cooperation was essential for effective service delivery.
Mr Francis Dwira Darko, the Metro Coordinating Director, on behalf of the staff, assured the Deputy Minister of their unwavering support for the Mayor.
He noted that since assuming office, the Mayor had demonstrated commitment and provided the needed support to facilitate the work of the staff.
