Tema, March 17, GNA — The Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation Bureau (AIB) have assured the public that a comprehensive report will be released following an ongoing investigation into a recent aircraft crash incident that occurred at TMA Daycare Centre, close to Oninku Drive Basic School.
Speaking at the incident scene, Mr John Wumborti, the Acting Commissioner of the Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation and Prevention Bureau, explained that the team had successfully retrieved the wreckage and all relevant materials needed for the investigation.
Mr Wumborti said the Ghana Armed Forces, particularly the Air Force, provided logistical support by supplying a truck to transport the wreckage to a secure place, saying the debris would be kept at a hangar at the Ghana Air Force for protection and further investigations.
He confirmed that there was no black box on the crashed microlight aircraft, adding that investigators had carried out extensive witness interviews with those who were present at the scene during the incident to support the investigation.

The acting commissioner said investigators would employ different approaches, adding that the AIB would apply general rules and established procedures to guide their work.
He commended the rapid response and coordination among the agencies, including the Ghana Aviation Authority, Ghana Police Service, the military, and the Ghana National Fire Service, alongside other relevant agencies.
