Mr Godwin Edudzi Tameklo, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority, commended the company for its growth and adherence to regulatory requirements.

He emphasised that compliance in the petroleum sector went beyond documentation to include product quality assurance, safety standards, environmental protection and pricing transparency, which together enhanced consumer confidence and sector stability.

“Compliance in our sector is not merely about meeting documentation thresholds. It encompasses product quality assurance, safety standards, environmental safeguards and pricing transparency,” he said.

Mr William Tewiah, the Chief Executive Officer of the company, commended staff for maintaining high operational standards despite intense competition in Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector.

He noted that the industry continued to expand and played a vital role in national development, reaffirming the company’s commitment to transparency, regulatory compliance and collaboration with industry stakeholders to address sustainability and fair competition concerns.

“Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector continues to grow and evolve, playing a critical role in national development. ZEN is proud to be a contributor to this progress,” he said.

Mr Prince Awuley, the Retail Director, described retail staff as frontline personnel who served more than 55,000 customers daily across the company’s outlets.

He said the awards symbolised a shared commitment to service excellence and sustainable growth, and announced that the company would soon introduce a customer loyalty platform, My ZEN Rewards, to strengthen customer engagement.

“The Excellence Awards are not just a celebration of high achievers. They symbolise our shared commitment to service excellence and sustainable growth,” he added.

Established in 2009, ZEN Petroleum currently operates 63 retail stations nationwide and supplies more than 30 million litres of petroleum products monthly to both retail and industrial clients, including the mining sector.

The company operates a uniform pricing policy described as “One Network, One Price” across its outlets and has indicated plans to increase its retail footprint by the end of 2026.

This reflects growing competition and consolidation within Ghana’s downstream petroleum market.
