Ho (V/R), Feb. 14, GNA – The Volta Regional House of Chiefs (VRHC) is set for significant infrastructural improvements, following a courtesy visit by Mr James Gunu, the Volta Regional Minister, and the Executive Chairman of First Sky Group, Mr Eric Kutortse.
The Minister led Mr Kutortse and his management team to the House to formally express gratitude to the traditional authorities, for their strong support during the Company’s recent thanksgiving service.
The visit on Friday February 13, characterised by warm and respectful exchanges, provided an opportunity for the delegation to acknowledge the pivotal role traditional leaders continue to play in promoting unity, stability and development across the Volta Region.
During the engagement, Mr Gunu pledged to facilitate a facelift of the House of Chiefs building to give it a more modern and befitting appearance.
He also assured the chiefs of plans to install streetlights around the facility to improve visibility, enhance security and create a more conducive environment.
The Regional Minister commended the chiefs for their consistent partnership and guidance in advancing the development agenda of the Region, describing them as indispensable partners in governance and community progress.


He reiterated his commitment to strengthening collaboration between the Volta Regional Coordinating Council, traditional authorities and the private sector to accelerate sustainable development, attract investment, and improve the livelihoods of the people.
Mr Kutortse on his part, reaffirmed First Sky Group’s commitment to supporting the House of Chiefs by asphalting the internal roads and the compound of the facility, which was deemed to start in May, this year.
He noted that the project would enhance accessibility, improve vehicular movement within the premises, and uplift the overall outlook of the House.
He stated that he was deeply overwhelmed by the presence of a large number of Togbewo, including 24 Paramount Chiefs, led by the President of the House, Togbe Tepre Hodo IV.
Togbe Tepre Hodo, the President of the VRHC and Paramount Chief of Anfoega Traditional Area on behalf of the House expressed appreciation to the CEO for his continued service to the region, particularly in the areas of infrastructure development and philanthropy.
They commended First Sky Group for its contributions and encouraged sustained partnership between the company and traditional authorities for the advancement of the Volta Region.
As a token of appreciation, the delegation presented items in cash and kind to the chiefs and to the House of Chiefs.
The engagement concluded with a shared resolve to continue working together to promote peace, progress, and prosperity in the Volta Region.
