Accra, Feb. 19, GNA – Justice Richard Adjei-Frimpong, a Justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana, has urged graduates to uphold professionalism and integrity as they transition into the workplace.
He advised them to let their integrity speak for them, stating that it was the only way to achieve fulfilment and growth in their chosen careers.
Justice Adjei-Frimpong gave the advice when he addressed the February 2026 congregation of the University of Ghana as guest speaker.
The two-week congregation is for postgraduate and undergraduate students who have completed their doctorate, master’s and bachelor’s degree programmes.
Drawing on his personal experience, Justice Adjei-Frimpong urged the graduates not to give up when confronted with challenges in their professional lives.
He said challenges were inevitable in the workplace but emphasised that what mattered most was how individuals maintained their professionalism amid setbacks.
“As you move forward, remember, every challenge is a chance to apply your knowledge, drive change and inspire others. Stay focused, stay driven and lead with purpose,” he said.
Justice Adjei-Frimpong encouraged them to be agents of change in their communities and the nation.
“Go out there, not as a definition of change, go and be the change. And always remember, leadership is not just about titles. It is about impact,” he added.
Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, Vice-Chancellor of the University, also advised the graduates to uphold the highest standards of excellence and conduct themselves with truth, integrity and a deep sense of responsibility.
“In doing so, you will continue to make the University of Ghana proud. I wish you every success in your future endeavours,” she said.
