Accra, Feb. 15, GNA – The Police Ladies Football Club (POLAS FC) delivered a statement performance on Matchday 13 of the 2025/2026 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League (WPL Southern Zone), defeating league leaders FC Epiphany 1-0 at the Alajo Astroturf on Sunday.

In a fiercely contested encounter, the home side made their early dominance count with a decisive first-half goal that ultimately separated the two teams.

The clinical finish proved enough to secure all three points against an FC Epiphany side that entered the fixture at the summit of the Southern Zone standings.

Despite their top-of-the-table status, FC Epiphany struggled to break down Police Ladies’ well-organised defence.

The visitors enjoyed spells of possession and pressed for an equaliser, but the tactical discipline and resilience of the hosts ensured their narrow lead remained intact until the final whistle.

The victory marks a significant boost to Police Ladies’ campaign, reinforcing their credentials as the season intensifies.

For FC Epiphany, the defeat presents a setback as they seek to maintain their lead at the top in the coming fixtures.
