Dambai (O/R), Feb 4, GNA – Mr Nelson Kofi Djabab, Member of Parliament (MP) of Krachi East constituency, has supported Kpelema English and Arabic school with over 50 dual desks to enhance teaching and learning in the community.
The desks, which were sourced from the MP’s common fund were presented to the Municipal Education Directorate to hand over for the school, in a bid to improve the standard of education.
Addressing students, teachers and officials from education directorate, the lawmaker explained that he had always supported schools in the constituency with furniture in his quest to bridge the furniture gaps in the area.
The MP assured that he would continue to supply furniture to schools to ensure that children of school going age were comfortable in their classrooms.
Mr Solomon Atitsogbui, Municipal Education Directorate, receiving the items, commended the legislature for the intervention.
He said the furniture would go a long way to address the desks challenges confronting the school which is hampering effective teaching and learning.
He assured that the directorate would liaise with the headmaster to ensure that the furniture was properly maintained.
