Assin Bereku (C/R), Feb. 13, GNA – The Hatch House Foundation (HHF), a non‑governmental organisation, has donated 20 computers with accessories to two schools in the Assin enclave to enhance the teaching and learning of Information and Communications Technology (ICT).

The beneficiary schools are the Assin Bereku Nyamebekyere Basic School in the Assin North District and the Assin Odumase Catholic Basic School in the Assin Fosu Municipality of the Central Region.

Each school received 10 computers.

Presenting the items on behalf of Mr Yayib Sheriff, Chief Executive Officer of HHF, Mrs Stephanie Adawu said the donation was part of efforts to bridge the digital divide and improve the quality of ICT education in the area.

She noted that more than 1,000 students, who previously had limited access to practical computing lessons, stand to benefit from the gesture.

She encouraged the students to take their studies seriously and strive to become responsible and influential citizens in the future.

Receiving the items, Mr Emmanuel Kwabena Odoom, Headmaster of Assin Bereku Nyamebekyere Basic School, and Mrs Theresa Amoah, Headmistress of Assin Odumase JHS, expressed gratitude to the Foundation for the timely support.

They appealed for additional ICT tools, particularly projectors, to further enhance teaching and learning.

They commended the Foundation for its commitment to alleviating challenges faced by schools and urged individuals and organisations to support educational development in the country.

A student, Master Stephen Eshun, also expressed appreciation to HHF, noting that practical ICT training is essential alongside theory.

He joined school authorities in appealing for projectors.
