Anloga Development Association to commission modern municipal library

Anloga (VR), Feb 26, GNA – The Anloga Development Association of North America (ADANA) has invited the public to attend the commissioning and handover ceremony of the newly refurbished Anloga District Library in the Volta Region.  

The event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 0900 hours at the District Library premises, at Anloga.  

Mr David Abusah, the ADANA President, said that the partnership of the association was with the Council of Ewe Associations of North America (CEANA), which have transformed the dilapidated library into a modern and functional facility to promote learning through effective reading of textbooks and novels.  

“The renovated library will also serve as an Information Technology (IT) Center, which is aimed at enhancing access to information, and learning opportunities for residents of Anloga and surrounding communities,” he stated.  

He stressed that the ceremony would be graced by opinion leaders, traditional authorities including Chiefs and Queen Mothers, as well as representatives of CEANA and other stakeholders.  

Mr Abusah said that the library facility is expected to play a pivotal role in improving education standards in the area by providing a conducive environment for learning and research through important and relevant books that would guide and shape the education of the public.  

“ADANA as a group has express pride in the efforts to develop the community through such innovative and development projects and initiatives to impact positively in the lives of all,” he said.  

He added the invitation was also extended to individuals and organisations across the district to attend the ceremony, while notable dignitaries and stakeholders would have the opportunity to deliver brief messages to the public.  

He said the refurbished library was a clear testament to the commitment of ADANA and CEANA to the contribution to the development of Anloga and beyond and promised that the ceremony would be smooth and successful.

However, the residents of Anloga community have anticipated the commissioning of the library as a significant milestone in the educational and developmental journey of students and the public.  

The Ghana News Agency further gathered that the the refurbished Anloga District Library was also stocked with vital books through individual contributions of Anloga Development Association of North America members.
